Did you know that Boy Scouts of America was granted a federal charter by Congress?  Yessiree, it's true.
On June 15, 1916, the United States Congress granted a federal charter to the Boy Scouts of America. This charter can be found in the United States Code, Title 36 (Patriotic Societies and Observances), Chapter 2 (Boy Scouts of America).

In turn, the Boy Scouts of America grants charters to sponsoring organizations, such as Queen of Peace Church, which are then allowed to sponsor Cub Scout Packs.  Every year, all the scout families and leaders in each Pack need to renew this charter, so that Boy Scouts of America can make a formal report to Congress about our progress (really, this actually happens -- the head of the BSA reports to Congress every year!)

Most packs also use this time to update their rosters and to collect yearly dues.  Registrar Rich Watkins has been hard at work updating the den rosters, and now it's time for all of us to do our part - providing our current information and paying for recharter.  If you have not already paid your annual pack dues, please click on the link to the left to Pay Pack Dues as well.

This process is quick and easy, and is composed of two pages.  The first page is this one, where you update the committee with your scout's current information.  The second page is a form we fill out to pay our annual dues with a credit card, debit card or paypal account.
